Knowledge about Stocks and Share Market

By Ezhilarasi GPublished 12 months ago 3 min read

The best advise that I ever received from my mentor is, " don't work for money instead make money work for you". Yeah guys I get it what you are thinking now. Ofcourse you may heard this a million times but the truth is it never gets old. So now without wasting any time let's dive into the Share market

What is Share Market?

In simple word share market is a platform where buyers and sellers come together to trade on publicly listed shares of companies during specific hours of the day. People often use the terms 'share market' and 'stock market' interchangeably.

Companies may issue shares to raise capital to fund expansion plans. It can be opening new locations, developing new products, acquiring other businesses, or to repay outstanding debt. It can be anything.

How Share Market works?

The stock market helps companies raise money to fund operations by selling shares of stock, and it creates and sustains wealth for individual investors. Companies raise money on the stock market by selling ownership stakes to investors. These equity stakes are known as shares of stock.

Investors and Traders are two different players in Share Market. Investors generally seek larger returns over an extended period through buying and holding. Investing typically involves hanging onto an asset for years, if not decades. Traders, by contrast, take advantage of both rising and falling markets to enter and exit positions over a shorter time frame, taking smaller, more frequent profits (buying and selling many types of assets within the span of a day, week, or month). The difference is in the timeline.

Benefits that we gain from investing

  1. Long-Term Returns.
  2. Build Wealth.
  3. Plan for Retirement (Or Early Retirement)
  4. Meet Personal and Financial Goals.
  5. Stay Ahead of Inflation.
  6. Multiple Streams of Income.
  7. Having Savings to Fall Back On.

Building Wealth over time

The more you contribute towards saving and investing and the sooner you start, the faster you should build wealth. Also, don't be discouraged if you're just starting out, as long as you stick with it, compound interest will eventually work its magic.

Put aside at least 10% of your monthly income in long-term investments, and adjust your lifestyle to the remaining 90% that is left. Create a properly diversified portfolio of various asset classes that preferably includes passive income generation.

While it isn't a move that you can make at an online brokerage, investing in yourself by raising your income is an important step when it comes to how to build wealth. The more you earn over your lifetime, the more money you have available to invest.

Warren Buffett likes to say that there are no called strikes in investing. Strikes occur only when you swing and miss. When you’re at bat, you shouldn’t concern yourself with every pitch, nor should you regret good pitches that you don’t swing at. In other words, you don’t have to have an opinion about every stock or other investment opportunity, nor should you feel bad if a stock you didn’t pick goes up dramatically. Warren says that in your lifetime you should swing at only a couple dozen pitches, and he advises doing careful homework so that the few swings you do take are hits.

When he invests in a company, he likes to read all of its annual reports going back as far as he can. He looks at how the company has progressed and what its strategy is. He investigates thoroughly and acts deliberately—and infrequently. Once he has purchased a company or shares in a company, he is loath to sell.

“You should invest in a business that even a fool can run, because someday a fool will.”

    Conclusion

So don't waste your time just by sitting and thinking . It's time to build our own success feild. Don't work for money instead make money work for you.
