SCREW Magazine Founder Al Goldstein
Little known fact, Jerry Lewis was an Al Goldstein fan. Al Goldstein founded SCREW magazine in 1968, a time when the legal system was trying to decide what constituted obscenity constitutionally. He would be arrested on obscenity charges 19 times over the next three years. Over the years, he spent millions of dollars to fight for First Amendment rights. Goldstein was the genius behind the adult-themed public access show "Midnight Blue." So ground breaking was his show that you can be sure there would be no Howard Stern if there was no Al Goldstein. Screw folded in 2003, and in a 2004 interview with the New York Times, Goldstein said that at times, since his magazines demise, he was forced to sleep in his car and live in a homeless shelter. At the magazine's 30th Anniversary in 1998, Goldstein was incredibly optimistic about the magazine's future. Below is a letter from Al Goldstein to loyal SCREW readers after 30 years of success, the he still believed that the best was yet to come. That was right around the birth of internet porn.

Benefits of Kegel Exercises
Sex toys are a booming industry. They have helped bring fun and intimacy to the bedroom. But what could be better when you can incorporate sex and exercise at the same time? And when I say exercise, I am not referring to the cardiovascular kind or even the kind that involves weight lifting or standing on your head, I am referring to the kind of exercise that every woman has heard of, whether they have had a baby or not. I am referring to the dreaded Kegel exercise.

History of Erotic Photography
There is a quiet little revolution brewing in the world of art photography: People are starting to make photos—imaginative, artful, complex, perceptive photos—of sex. Unlike other photos that have long been part of the art photography world, these are not photos where sex tiptoes around the edges or makes its presence known only by hint and innuendo. These are photos with sex as their central and unapologetic subject matter—photos that invite and even compel us to acknowledge and think about sex outside our customary attitude of mixed horror and titillation. These are photos that represent sex as the subtle, paradoxical, ironic, profound, humorous, often mystical phenomenon that it really is.

Can You Use Plastic Wrap as a Dental Dam?
Yes, obviously a dental dam is something you’d find at a dentist’s office. Although it did get its name from its original use as a tool in dental exams, it is also a slang for sexual protection during oral sex. It is commonly believed that you don’t need a condom when engaging in oral sex. In school, you are taught the importance of the use of condoms and birth control, and they even promote abstinence, but no one talks about dental dams and cunnilingus. So we go on in life, oblivious to the fact that safe sex should also be practiced when it comes to oral sex. Or, to give educators the benefit of the doubt, we learn that condoms should be used when oral sex is performed on a male. But what do we learn about safety when oral sex is performed on a female?

History of Kama Sutra
The Kama Sutra says there are 64 types of sexual acts. Unfortunately, many women only know the missionary position. Widely regarded as an ancient Indian manual on how to have sex, the Kama Sutra is the original erotic novel. If one was to do a Google search on the term itself, they will find that other than the typical Wikipedia article and a link to purchase the text at Amazon, everything is in reference to sex. In fact, it will be regarded as “the sex guide par excellence.” Those that are curious enough will even be able to find a list of sexual positions to try, but only if you’re able to get your body to bend like a yogi. However, despite what some might think, Kama Sutra is not just about sex.
