I recently came down with a summer cold. This generally doesn't happen to me. Being in the vicinity of three sick children in a small cottage for a few days brought me down though. However, as a Registered Holistic Nutritionist and granddaughter of a garlic-loving Romanian cook, I knew exactly what to do. I made my grandmother's patented coleslaw recipe. It is full of garlic, cabbage, and lemon, all foods that will knock a cold directly out of you. Try it the next time you find yourself under the weather and you will definitely accelerate your recovery!
My first two drink pairings were for Miles Davis albums from 1959 (Kind of Blue) and 1960 (Sketches of Spain). A lot of important jazz happened in the mid-20th century, and there will be plenty more drink pairings for jazz albums from that time. Jazz did not, however, stop in the sixties (contrary to popular belief). As a matter of fact, jazz still happens to this day. I know, I'm blowing your mind with this.
Tea. The national drink of Britain. We cannot get enough of the stuff. Whether it’s a warm or cold day, we will still faithfully put the kettle on like the automatons that we are. Forget the pop culture of today surrounding tea, let’s explore the deeper, and arguably murkier, depths that revolve the academic study of it.
Sangria is an all around favorite drink among many people since it's easy to make and very flavorful. If you're tired of making sangria with red wine you should give white wine a shot. These light and delicious wines are without a doubt the best white wines for sangria. They will bring out the flavor of the fresh fruits and are refreshing. Each of these wines varies in their unique taste and aromas. However, they are each amazing choices for making sangria and can help you learn to enjoy wine.
One of the benefits of making your own baby food is the ability to get creative. I walk through the baby food section in the grocery store pretty often—just out of sheer curiosity and perhaps a bit of inspiration. While some of them sound pretty delicious —strawberry dessert, pears with prunes, beef stew, I know for a fact they aren't all delicious. And while I would like the convenience of simply opening a jar, my wallet can't justify it. And whats more, I know my food is delicious!
