Does 'Top Gun' Really Need A Sequel? Why Maverick Should Stay In The '80s
5/23/2017 Update: The Top Gun sequel is happening after all. When #TopGun hit the movie theaters on May 16, 1986, it took in more than $8 million its opening weekend, which doesn't seem like a lot, especially considering it had a $15 million budget. But the following weeks proved fruitful, and the blockbuster went on to nab over $356 million in box office receipts before it left the screens. Odds are good some of those numbers were from repeat viewers, as Top Gun had the perfect mixture of action, romance, comedy and drama.

I Think They've 'Lost' The Plot: ABC Execs Hated One Very Important Part of 'Lost'
M.A.S.H., Twin Peaks, The Sopranos, Game of Thrones — there are some truly great pieces of television out there, and the underrated '00s nugget that is #Lost will surely be among them. Yes, it may have lost its way a little when caught up in time travel, Hurley being the one who wrote Star Wars, and something about sticking a cork in a hole, but at its peak, Lost was addictive television at its most bingeable.

What can you actually achieve in 15 seconds? Not a lot (dirty minds)... However in October, the 15 Second Horror Film Challenge invited filmmakers from around the globe to get together and to frighten the bejezus out of YOU with an anthology batch of unrelated 15 second horror micro shorts.

Why Fans Will Miss Thursdays Without The CW's 'Beauty' And Her 'Beast'
On September 15th, Beauty and the Beast aired its series finale on the CW, leaving an empty slot on addicted fans' viewing schedule. The drama, loosely based upon the series created by Ron Koslow in 1987, focused on the impossible relationship between a police detective turned federal agent and a doctor who'd been turned into a "beast" due to a failed military experiment. Though the ratings were never that strong, the series earned a People's Choice Awards in 2013 for Favorite New TV Drama, and in 2014, 2015 and 2016 for Favorite Sci-fi/Fantasy Show.
