The path from idealism to dictatorship
The path from idealism to dictatorship The path to hell is paved with good intentions Comments from Jeremy Corbyn- For non-British readers he is a socialist ideologist probably a well-meaning and committed person but who just does not live in the real world. His “mantra” on how we should all live is:-

On Tuesday, March 27, 1973, the 45th Academy awards took place. This was marked by many big events, including two African American women being nominated for the best actress award for the first time. However, it seems that a pivotal moment has slipped through the cracks for the person involved.

He is the most handsome scholar in history, and his appearance is suffocating enough to crush all traffic stars. He is Academician Wang Demin, a scientist who has devoted 50 years to our country. His story makes you understand what starts with looks and ends with talent. In 1924, Wang Demin's father fell in love with a Swiss girl when he was studying medicine in the United States, and returned to China together after marriage. In those days, cross-border marriages were rare. Everyone thought that Wang Demin, who was born with mixed blood, was a foreigner and was unwilling to play with him, but it did not affect him as a scholar. He was admitted to China University of Petroleum with a score close to full marks in the college entrance examination. Many girls have a crush on him, but he has no love for children and only wants to take off the hat of my country's oil-poor country. Approaching graduation, the family background is excellent,Wang Demin, who was successful in his studies, took the initiative to invite Ying to go to the most difficult Daqing without saying a word. I thought I could go to a scientific research unit to show my skills, but was assigned to the grassroots as an ordinary worker. He didn't complain, he said, oil chose me, not the oil business. It was this choice that changed the fate of PetroChina. In Daqing, he did the most labor-intensive work, minus zero in winter. At a temperature of 40 degrees, he had to take off his cotton jacket to keep warm at the wellhead, and he had to hold the frozen anti-aircraft pipe with his body. Academician Wang, who solved this thorny problem, was only 24 years old at the time. In order to improve the oil recovery rate, he worked hard day and night and fought repeatedly. American Anarchism Prologue
When it comes to the United States of America, the country has seen better days when it comes to freedom and democracy. The United States was founded as a representative democracy where representatives were supposedly supposed to speak for the people as the new nation slowly transitioned from being under the rule of Britain. Why? Because it was incredibly difficult for people to have any form of representation in the United Kingdom during the seventeen hundreds, even with a series of reforms that stopped Britain from being an absolute monarchy. In the late seventeen hundreds and early eighteen hundreds, very few people in Britain had any real say in how their government was run. According to a survey that was conducted back in 1780, the electorate in England and Wales only had about two hundred fourteen thousand people - or less than three percent of the total population that the electorate & British parliament was supposed to represent. In Scotland, the electorate was much smaller. In the year 1831, only four thousand five hundred men out of a population of two million six hundred thousand had the ability to vote in parliamentary elections. Basically, very few citizens of the United Kingdom had any kind of voting rights or freedoms, making Britain more of a oligarchy of the few pushing around the many than a genuine democracy. All of this started back in 1430 in Britain, where legislation was passed that limited voting on parliamentary representatives to those who owned land for an annual charge of at least forty shillings. Since then, voting rights required white men - the only demographic that was really allowed to have a say - to have some degree of wealth and ownership of property to really have any influence on government. The United States and other British colonies eventually rebelled against these unfair rules, but it was not as if the government of the United States embraced what most would consider true freedom. Similar restrictions were established in the United States which kept people from having true democracy or say in how their society works.
The Rocket's Red Glare
When we sing our National Anthem, how many of us actually visualize the events and images that triggered the words that were the inspiration to this magnificent poem? (Yes, it began a poem. The music wasn’t added until 1931.)
Margaret BrennanPublished 2 years ago in The SwampGun Control in the United States from American History?
Don't put the American people's "right to bear arms" as the government or the rights of the constitution "to give" freedom of speech, freedom of the press freedom, freedom of religious belief, demonstration, privacy, etc. Are all the same, these rights are not (amendment) given by the constitution, the constitution (amendment) said that "no law", is the right "inviolability". What does that mean? It means that the U.S. Constitution believes that these rights are inherent to citizens and cannot be conferred by the government. Don't underestimate this difference. Understanding this difference is the key to understanding many of the "incredible" phenomena on this side of the ocean.
How did the First World War break out
As one historian points out, "The First World War is an enigma, its origins and processes are incomprehensible." It is true that the pre-World War I conflicts are complex and the international situation very strange, but it is possible to disentangle the main clues.

Bourgnew's Royal Proclamation
The Bourgnewian Constitution is a Declaration and a Proclamation that we are all equal. It is not to construe the Separation of Powers and affect the efficacy of the government. We are united and we are one. We have specific duties and obligations to the people, Bourgnewians that we must fulfill. And if not fulfilled the balance of Powers can effectively remove the strain on governance. We do not seek rebellions as the way to liberty nor uprisings as the way of livelihood. We do not desire to displease the good pleasure of Bourgnewians. We support their right to fair governance. We support their right to equal protection. We support their right to justified punishment. The Monarch, Bourgnew's Monarch, and Bourgnewian Monarch officiate the government. The Monarch rules by inheritance and for Bourgnewians to remember who freed them and gave birth to their independence. Setting aside all absolute authority and with humility being the captain, and chief commander of the Bourgnewian Forces under the major influence of the Bourgnewian Parliament. The Bourgnewian Monarch humble the authority and seek patriotism. The Monarch seeks the love of country, duly sworn loyalty to truth, grace, freedom, liberty, and humanity.

If you grew up in a small town in the 80’s your local paper was the news. If that’s the way someone said it was, it was. Even if you possessed the academia, Encyclopedia Britannica was the Google of its day. With a minimum wage of $3.35 an hour the financial challenges during those “Trickle down Economic” years left little time for leisure. Begs the question of how so much was done with so little. Wondering, I ask myself aloud; are the lives of my loved ones better, their futures’ more secure today? With inflation and poverty rates basically the same, factor in the political insurrection and social unrest and a case can be made that it’s not. Democracy is indeed a slippery slope, but common interest enables the privileged to gain their footing. Common interests create a binding perpetual relationship. Common interests are why this “Great Experiment” exists in the first place. These commonalities foster loyalty and commitment to a shared goal rather than to an individual and this, is “where the rubber meets the road”.
Historically, Shame Has (Sometimes) Been A Good Thing
In the past, the argument that "shaming people is always wrong" was one I identified with strongly. I wrote an entire piece arguing in length how shame was not a good principle to organize around (see Unpacking the Deadly Politics of Shame). In that piece, I concluded: "…shame seems to be a pretty destructive foundation for political organization. It is an emotion that demands self-flagellation and punishment over accountability and understanding."
