Fake News, Alternative Facts and Political Brainwashing

Everybody is Brainwashed, It Doesn't Matter What Party

What is fake news? What are alternative facts? What is political brainwashing? Fake news is called such because it is seen as being reported by a non-legitimate news agency, thus becoming political gaslighting. Alternative facts are about total lies to the American people by the Machine. The mere division between Democrat and Republican reeks of political brainwashing because really, they work together to further national interest. The Machine only takes news questions from Fox News. This is the way Republicans think, even though Democrats are part and parcel of the same coin. “Fake News” is a term that undermines legitimate news sources like CNN. Supporters of the Machine are brainwashed into believing what the Republicans say. Politicians deal with many untrue news stories that are, in fact, the real fake news. Real journalists use the term “fake news” to call out news that is an obvious fabrication.

Clickbait-y news is used to get an actual click, which then pays the original poster money. Fake news is a deliberate spreading of a mixture of both true and false stories to confuse the public, much like what a narcissist does to maintain their narcissistic supply. Narcissists lie a lot about something when they want to maintain the one-up position over somebody. Flat out lies are told because the liar believes their falsehood, while bullshitters do not tell the truth as it is but what they want to get out of something for themselves and only themselves. Extremely right-wing folks believe a lot of lies, but liberal media could just as easily be lying also. This is why we can no longer trust the two-party system, which has a lot of problems.

The entire term of “fake news” is something that works to obfuscate truth, objectivity, and even the very backbone of rational thought, critical thinking. In order to think critically about something, one must look at all sides of the problem. Critical thinking as such, is the act of evaluating information that is gathered by observation and experience. This makes critical thinking almost like a branch of science. College students learn it in school while non-college educated people may not necessarily be exposed to such ideas. Critical thinking is made up of two halves, sets of information that generates beliefs while processing that belief system, and the habit of using these skills to refer to a person’s behavior. To think critically about something means guiding yourself to arrive at an answer, but some politicians are willing to guide their followers into doing all the thinking for them. Right-wing people need others to think for them, but so do liberals in the end. Fake news is only a misnomer about news that a leader does not want people to look at because fake news questions their reality. Critical thinking relies on logic to work at all but non-critical thinking people take whatever they are told without ruminating about it in their minds some more. Some countries have a preferred narrative of what should be thought about. This means that their leader has absolute power. Fake news is all based on a lie.

The lie is there to cover up what is actually the truth. If you believe the lie, you are letting someone else do the thinking for you. Sometimes, people of all kinds are afraid to think about subjects critically. It is easier to just let someone else do the thinking if all you worry about is immediate financial survival. Criticism of any leader is an American thing to do and even Barack Obama should be criticized for the whole “force people to pay a fine if they don’t buy insurance” fiasco that he came up with. This is a rare criticism for me but it is necessary. Critical thinking is the duty of every person who is capable of doing so.
