“Equal Access to Our Democracy”

My friends, If the past four years has taught us anything about this our republic, we’ve discovered even though we are the country of Ronald Reagan, a shining city, sitting as a beacon on a hill, this our great democracy does not come without its challenges. I believe our challenges tho many, and complex in scope, all share a common theme. The people perish, because of a lack of understanding.

Basic civics, being removed from not just our schools, but from our everyday existence has left us cynical, frustrated, and vulnerable to misinformation, and all our mistruth campaigns. Our lack of understanding, was the bedrock, the foundation on which the Trump administration stood. It was the glue, the fire, the fuel which lead to the insurrection on the headquarters of these states united.

So our mission over the next quadrennium is clear. Be a source of information. Be an access point, a bridge that allows for safe travel between the communities of those who have, and those who don’t. And so each weekday, I strive to comb through the challenges. To best I can, and with the help of those I trust, attempt to understand, and present the best pathway of engagement during these upcoming tough conversations. AND MOST OF ALL. Making sure everyone in my path has access to this our democracy.

First 17 Biden Executive Orders

1. Start a "100 Days Masking Challenge,"
2. Restructure federal government coordination to the COVID-19.
3. Rejoin the World Health Organization (WHO)
4. Extend eviction and foreclosure moratoriums.
5. Continue "pause" on student loan payments until September 30.
6. Rejoin the Paris Climate Agreement.
7. End Keystone XL pipeline and revoke oil and gas development at national wildlife monuments.
8. Actions to advance racial equity through the federal government.
9. Count non-citizens in U.S. Census again.
10. Strengthen workplace discrimination protections based on sexual orientation and gender identity.
11. Defend "Dreamers" program for undocumented young Americans.
12. End so-called "Muslim travel ban
13. Change Trump's arrest priorities for Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE).
14. Stop border wall construction.
15. Keep protections for a group of Liberians in the country.
16. Freezing last-minute Trump administration regulatory actions.
17. Formulate Executive Branch ethics doctrine.

As you know, its Inauguration Day, which means its a fresh day in America. This also means, its fresh look at how we attack the struggles ahead of us. We being this journey with Presidents Biden first 17 executive orders. Now these orders, if looked at on the surface, will cause serious nausea, accompanied by extremely high risks of a panic attack. But if we unpack these objectively, I believe it will help give us a broad look into the world we live shall we??

COVID-19 response 

We kick off this Administration with a "100 Days Masking Challenge," Executive Order (1). I can’t tell you of the many buddies who have been fed the lie, over and over again. “The Government is gonna run ya house!!” I would like to clarify at least for this instance. HE (President Biden) IS CHALLENGING us to wear a mask, and social distance. But look at it like this. Friday April 30, at 5pm, will be the perfect time to hit the club, and WELL YA KNOW, but ya know what-else you’ll know. If we all come together, and do our part, I am certain, along with {President Biden} Executive Orders (2)(3), will have us by then Covid-19 free.

This brings us to Executive Order (4)(5). It is hard for us who are financially secure, or the dependents of same, to understand the horror many of our brothers and sisters now face. Since the start of this microscopic worm of death, some 30 plus million friends, neighbors, coworkers, and dare I say family have found themselves face to face with loosing it all.

These our friends have mortgages they cant pay on top of student loans, (The average amount being 30k plus) they can’t dump. As hard as it is to fathom why this needs discussing, it does because again, our lack of understanding. What doesn’t effect us, doesn’t bother us, and until its my problem, its not a problem. But I ask of you, look deep within yourself, as matter of fact do so selfishly. Asking the cold hard question. If it were you, then what??

Executive Orders (6)(7), Speaks, I believe, to the very soul of our democracy. So here’s a question. Pop Quiz if you will. Who would you say President Biden would draw criticism from the most?? If your answer is Evangelical Republicans, you are absolutely right. So I ask those fine folks, who’s country club meetings generally reside under a big steeple. Isn’t our moral code supposed to be the protection of what our creator entrusted to us? Now I know you are going to have varying perspectives, after all you typically consume Fox News, but I ask you just check that book.. The handbook, typically referred to during club meetings. I am confident you will find being concerned for our planet, by ending reliance on toxic oil, and being front and certain during climate conversations, is A Good Thing..

So if the destruction of our planet doesn’t bring us to ruin, the destruction of ourselves will certain finish the job. This to me explains clearly Executive Orders (8)(9)(10)(11)(12)(13). Let’s just start with the hardcore truth. As an African American Male, I feel the conversation ended 400 years ago. This country sadly harbors, aids, and complies with those who seek supremacy or equality.

Again that manual you got. The one used during club meetings on Sundays. I believe it does say love thy neighbor, as you love yourself? But I understand with the pandemic, that won’t go away because it keeps big bro controlling ya, its been a minuet since you’ve truly attended a club meeting. But again, lets take a selfish approach. What happens if white people become the minority, or my black friends who somehow believe you’ve arrived. Do you recall the events of Wednesday January 6, 2021? Did you see many dark faces in the crowd? They would have been easy to spot, seeing as it was broad day light? Can we for certain say, those insurrectionist could give two shits about you or me? Or is shit and us connected, where they are concerned? So these protections, shield us from the unknown. From those who sadly its very hard to trust.

Which brings us to the border Executive Order (14)(15). There is a wall down yonder, you remember the one Mexico was paying for? Yeah. Let’s just cut with the stupid. I’m sorry to use such terms but its been a long day, and I wanna go cuddle #WifeyGoals. So let’s get to the nitty gritty. This is not about our just letting folks flood the gates of these states United like were some kind of cheap hoe. No this is about our asking the simple question of WHY ARE WE??? directing our emergency capital, which could go to eradicating the pandemic for this DARE I SAY non threatening issue.

Then we have those who come here to escape the horrors of oppressive dictators, and senseless wars. Which takes us back to that manual we’ve been talkin bout. Listen, lets just bottom line this whole thing.. Immigration, the boarder, all connected there in... Is one big complicated piece of business. I would love to chat about it, and think we should, just not tonight. Why?, because regardless of how much we converse on the matter, it will, forever remain fucking hard.

Which brings us to the conclusion of the whole matter, at least for day one. Executive Orders (16)(17). I would like to hope they are self explanatory. I would even more so hope, they are widely accepted, and if I can dig in with my expectations, widely appreciated. No one wants to get lied too. And more importantly no one wants to live in a nation they can’t believe in nor respect. Again lets take the selfish route. We American have massive egos, which won’t allow for us to live not being the shit. So with your selfish self.. Relax, keep an open mind, and watch as these states united once again become fucking awesomesauce.
