Ever wondered how smart you are?

Wondering how to judge intelligence or what it means to be smart? Total Intelligence is a combination of Self-Understanding and Intrapersonal Intelligence:

~Verbal Intelligence - Ability to Use One or More Languages, ability to Understand and Communicate.

~Interpersonal Intelligence - Ability to understand and interact successfully with others.

~Emotional Intelligence - and other abilities to process emotions.

~Logical Intelligence - Problem Solving and Critical Thinking Skills.

Here are 5 signs that tell you how smart you are.

First, you have a strong sense of self.

A key indicator of overall intelligence is a strong sense of self. According to Healthline, if you have well-developed self-esteem, it typically means you feel confident in who you are, know where your capabilities lie, and you make decisions that reflect your beliefs based on your life values, desires, dreams and goals.

Second, you're constantly curious and always say "I want to know more!"

Do you always ask questions?

Smart people like to pursue answers to satisfy their endless curiosity. They love learning, exploring, discovering new things, and are always striving to grow.

How people invest their time and effort in their intelligence can be a significant factor in their cognitive growth, according to a study conducted by Goldsmiths College, London. If you believe that you are genuinely open to curiosity and knowledge, you can certainly consider yourself a smart person.

Have you ever thought that people who lack expertise and understanding are often cocky, and that really smart people tend to question and doubt themselves? This phenomenon of self-ignorance, is known as the Dunning-Kruger effect.

By comparison, it is very common for intelligent people to overlook their own strengths and be more acutely aware of their own weaknesses, limitations, and shortcomings. This is due to their tendency to push themselves and to constantly improve in their knowledge, experience, or confidence.

If you frequently doubt your intelligence, know that it stems from your unique nature of self-reflection and constant striving for improvement, rather than actual incompetence. Your instinct to look back at yourself from the outside is in itself a commendable quality that can help you get far in life.

Number three, you are a keen observer.

Do you like observing the world around you? Do you like to hear what people are saying, or do you notice unique scriptures in certain places?

The study entitled “The Relationship between Fluid Intelligence and Working Memory Capacity,” published in Pub Med Central under the U.S. National Library of Medicine and the National Institutes of Health, provides excellent insight into the Pattern elements suggests that a good eye for patterns indicates elements of spatial-visual intelligence and having a great memory of things you've heard somewhere is your verbal-linguistic intelligence shining through.

Number 4, you are good at controlling your emotions.

Intelligence is characterized not only by the ability to support others through their emotions, but also knowing how best to handle and manage oneself.

Let’s be realistic, life has its ups and downs.

And there will be real-time emotions and reactions to much of what you are going through. When you mature and can handle a wide range of emotions, it can say a lot about your emotional health and real smarts.

According to Healthline, highly intelligent people have the ability to perceive complex emotions, understand how those emotions influence their decisions and actions, and respond to those emotions productively. They are able to exercise self-control to express emotions at appropriate times, in a safe and healthy way.

So if you are good at controlling your emotions, unintentionally analyze your emotions, whether they are good, bad or ugly, at the right time, clearly You will have the patience to deal with them in the most appropriate way, then you can definitely consider yourself to be an intelligent person.

Last but not least, you have a natural empathy

Are you able to pick up on the emotions of others and relate to their emotions in real time, or almost experience them?

You are not crazy! You are sensitive and these are some distinct trails of emotional intelligence.

Intelligence goes beyond your quantitative comprehension. The factors that influence your overall intelligence empathize with the emotions and feelings of others, process them, and use the available mental and physical resources to support them. So if you have a natural talent for making friends and loved ones feel supported, needed, cherished, and strong, then more than likely you can call yourself an intelligent person.
