Lebron James was born in a house on Walnut Street in Cleveland, Ohio. His mother, Gloria James, who was 16 at the time, has never revealed his biological father. After James was born, he lived with his mother at her grandmother's house. It was in my grandmother's old rented house on Hickory Street in Arken, Ohio, in the ghetto. They often can't pay their rent. On Christmas morning when James was three years old, Gloria and her boyfriend Eddie bought lebron a basketball set. That night, LeBlanc's grandmother Freda, 42, died of a heart attack. James moved 12 times between the ages of 5 and 8. It wasn't until 1995 that Ms. Glia finally rented a two-bedroom house in Spring Hill Apartments. When he was nine years old, LeBlanc used to hang out on the youth team of a football team in South Akan. He made an impression on coach Walker: "This kid had never played an organized game and didn't know anything about the rules, but once he said it, he understood right away that I had never seen a kid as smart as him." Lebron stayed on to play for the team. Three years later, lebron injured his left hand in a game. James later said he played football because he was poor, to get out of poverty. Lebron already loved basketball. During a home visit, Walker finds LeBlanc wandering with his mother, and Walker convinces Glia to take LeBlanc to his house. "I love Frank [Walker] and I wouldn't be where I am today without them," James said.
No matter what position I play, I just want to bring the determination to win. I want to be an unselfish player and I think that drives my teammates to improve. Because when you have one of your best players on the floor and he's unselfish, it's going to rub off on the rest of the team.
Don't do the next who, only do the first me! I'm just going to do what I have to do, be myself, on and off the court, take my responsibilities, and that's basically what it's like to be a man and know what you need to take on.

In June 2012, after one game, lebron stood on top of the league, receiving the adoration of fans around the world in flawless fashion for the first time. He had waited nine years for this day.
The road to the throne has not been easy. Although lebron quickly won one accolade after another with his superior physical fitness and basketball IQ, and received the adulation of Cleveland fans, he was often left alone in his own games. Faced with the result of coming close to the championship and failing again and again, gradually, the impatient fans began to throw scorn and sarcasm at lebron, and lebron himself, in the defeat began to doubt his choice of a championship road, is it really right?

Gilbert Arenas was born to a teenage girl who was not ready to be a mother. Although she tried to raise him on her own, she hung out with her friends and ended up in police custody. Authorities quickly realized the lack of care for the young Arenas, so they decided to place him in a local foster home, but only after obtaining the consent of the father, who has the right. Arenas' biological father, who was also an older boy, was working in an auto parts store at the time, and the authorities gave him only a rough description of what they were going to do for Arenas, but his father recalled his childhood, when he was raised by his mother, and remembered the lack of a father. So he decided to do the right thing -- raise his two-year-old son alone. Arenas was a star baseball player at Memorial High School in Florida. After attending the University of Miami, where he was drafted to the all-American football team, a serious leg injury forced an early end to his playing career. There was no way out. Arenas' father became an actor by virtue of his good looks and physique. After becoming a small celebrity in the area, Arenas decided to take his son to Los Angeles for a bigger career, and the two packed their belongings into a car and headed west. When they arrived in Hollywood, they found that the rules were different from Miami, where landlords required a $1,000 deposit, but his father couldn't come up with it, so they spent three nights in their car before finally applying for a shelter at the YMCA. For Arenas' father, his next priority was to find a steady job. My father approached the manager of a local furniture store, who didn't want to hire him, but the basketball-obsessed manager finally relented when he saw the seven-year-old Arenas dribbling down and down the road at the side of the car, and he got the job because of his son's casual talent show. After quitting his job at the furniture store, Arenas' father joined a delivery company, and his nights were spent auditioning for TV shows. Arenas hired an agent to find auditions for him, and his hard work paid off. Perhaps because of his father's limited discipline energy and his own inability to channel it, the playful Arenas quickly became a "demon" in the neighborhood, often playing pranks. At the age of 11, Arenas finally made basketball his number one interest. When his father went out to work at night, he would play ball all night. He soon became a regular at the local courts. As a pastime, my father became the coach of a local amateur team where most of the kids were older than Arenas, so Arenas spent most of his time on the bench, but my father explained that it was all about winning, not getting his son playing time. Arenas quit that team in a fit of pique and joined another, where he later scored 15 points against his father's team. In 2002, Arenas' mother tried to recognize him, but Arenas only politely kissed her on the cheek.

I was going to relax this evening. Tune out, hunker down, look after myself. I need it. I am exhausted. Thoroughly used up. And it's only Wednesday. Not even half way through the week. A week that in the UK, is Mental Health Awareness week. I don't know who decides these things, who gets to co-opt a day, a week, a month, and declare it a thing about a thing. But I do know a lot about mental health. I know a lot about mental health AND I know a lot about working for the UK's National Health Service. And so it was with interest that I clicked play on the below video, earlier today. By the time I finished, I was in tears.
