A whisper of promises and a longing for love,

A tender caress and a gentle embrace,

But soon these sweet gestures become a subtle shove,

And everyday kindness turns into an unbearable disgrace

Passion fades, and the relationship turns dull,

The love that once was, gone without a trace

A deep sadness in the air, and an overall feeling of null,

A heavy cloud of sorrow, without a single trace

The once vibrant union, now just a memory,

The conversations that have lost their warmth,

The tears that are no longer shed, in secrecy,

The wounds that never seem to heal, no matter the balm

The hurtful words that linger in the air,

The silent treatments that are never acknowledged,

The guilt trips, the lies, and the despair,

The manipulation, the threats, and the pain, unacknowledged

The lack of empathy and understanding,

The lack of respect and appreciation,

The lack of trust and security,

The lack of communication and validation

The subtle signs of emotional abuse,

The hints of coercive control,

The lack of space, trust, and use,

The lack of respect, and sense of self-worth, a broken soul

The invalidation of feelings, and personal beliefs,

The denial of personal autonomy,

The control of decisions, and personal relief,

The lack of freedom, and the feeling of hopelessness

The criticism, the insults, and the blame,

The demoralizing comments, the ridicule, and shame,

The constant criticism, and the lack of trust,

The feeling of despair, the feeling of being nothing but a ghost

The gaslighting, the manipulation, and the power-play,

The deceit, the humiliation, and the lies,

The projection of anger, and the silent display,

The lack of affection, and the feeling of being unnoticed

The isolation, the confinement, and the abandonment,

The feeling of being alone in the darkness,

The sudden mood-swings, and the alienation,

The lack of understanding, and the lack of love and compassion

The fear of speaking out, and the fear of expressing feelings,

The feeling of being trapped, and the fear of the unknown,

The worry of the future, and the fear of the healing,

The feeling of being stuck, and the fear of being broken

The feeling of being unheard, and the fear of speaking up,

The lack of validation, and the fear of speaking out,

The fear of being rejected, and the fear of speaking up,

The fear of being judged, and the fear of speaking out

The guilt of asking for help, and the fear of speaking out,

The feeling of being powerless, and the feeling of being judged,

The lack of self-worth, and the feeling of being worthless,

The feeling of being helpless, and the fear of speaking out

The fear of being misunderstood, and the fear of speaking out,

The fear of being laughed at, and the fear of speaking out,

The fear of being hurt, and the fear of speaking out,

The fear of being ignored, and the fear of speaking out

The lack of self-confidence, and the fear of speaking out,

The feeling of being unseen, and the fear of speaking up,

The feeling of being unheard, and the fear of speaking up,

The feeling of being alone, and the fear of speaking out

The fear of being judged, and the fear of speaking out,

The fear of being wronged, and the fear of speaking out,

The feeling of being unloved, and the fear of speaking out,

The feeling of being helpless, and the fear of speaking out

Every little thing in life,

It can lead to distress and strife

Unhappy feelings, deep inside,

anxiety
