Everything seemed normal as Lucy mingled with the other colorfully dressed partygoers. But now that feeling of dreamlike quality overpowers her will. The feeling of dizziness and hallucinations plays vigorously in Lucy's mind. It's creating a sense of awareness where she no longer feels her reality anymore. It's not a masquerade now, it's a false show of unsettled delusions.
As she finds her way to the bathroom, panting and losing breath that's coming in short gasps, the glamorous ballroom with its sparkling chandeliers fades away, replaced by a dark, empty space.
She sprints into the bathroom and locks it shut. Suddenly the world around her dissolves, leaving Lucy alone and lost in a kaleidoscopic world born of her own hallucinations.
"I need some light in here." Lucy searches for the light switch, turning it on once she discovers it.
The light switches on.
...
"Wait, this, this...is my room?" - She glares around her.
"Yes, it is! It's our room."
Who said that...?
Lucy turns around to another figure who looks like her.
"No. No. This isn't real. This isn't real."- She closes her eyes.
She opens her eyes. "It is real, Lucy!"- Said the other Lucy.
Lucy looks in the mirror behind her catfish...
It isn't "Lucy" portrayed in the mirror's reflection....
It's her sister Ash...
"ASH!?"
The other Lucy lets out a piercing scream, pulling a knife out from behind her and swinging it towards Lucy. Lucy's heart pounds with terror as she flees from each side of the room until she makes it over to the balcony, her only escape. The other Lucy slashes the knife through the air as she gains on her, growling threats through gritted teeth. "Lucy! You're defending a whole lie!"
She stabs Lucy just before she escapes through the balcony. Lucy's scream terrorizes the echoes of the street beneath her. Lucy puts her hands on her throat, choking her until she pulls the knife out of her shoulder.
Her identity transforms into Ash, then back into Lucy.
She pulls the knife out and pauses to catch her breath. Meanwhile, Lucy escapes with all her vitality through the window and out on the balcony. She climbs on fearless to make her great escape from this mayhem of an untold truth. The other Lucy transforms back into Lucy. She smiles to acknowledge her regeneration and continues to follow Lucy on the balcony. As Lucy almost makes it over to the other balcony next door to the current balcony, the other Lucy swings her knife again.
"AH!" Lucy falls beneath the balcony below. "Ouch..."
The other Lucy lets out a grin and jumps down too....
She grabs Lucy by her hand just before Lucy jumps down again. Lucy hangs over by the balcony dodging the other Lucy's attempts to stab her again. Lucy holds her hands back from being pierced in the chest. Lucy looks into the shadow of Ash.
She acknowledges it. "ASH. WAKE UP!"
"I'm not the one who needs to wake up, Lucy."
...What..?
The force of holding back the stabbing to occur pushes Lucy over the balcony, she grips on tight to the other Lucy's hand and she falls over as well. They both fall like feathers...Lucy hugs Lucy as they fall - and hit the ground to their faith.
Lucy's eyes twitch as she slowly opens them...
She takes her time to process who saved her life beneath her, she realises it is Ash.
It wasn't the false Lucy who was duping these illusions.
It was Ash.
Ash. Her sister~
Lucy lays back down. She lays in the pool of blood of who was unknown to her before reality snapped back. The blood feels warm...It almost feels safe.
Lucy's eyes twitch again, not to slowly open them this time, but to shut her world and close her eyes until she can feel the sorrows of her true identity that's misleading her reality.
The blood feels warmer and warmer as more is extracted from Ash's body~
