As society becomes more aware of the complexity of the human mind, the importance of maintaining good mental health is increasingly evident. Parkinson and Stem Cells
Stem Cells and the Future of Parkinson’s Treatment: Two Studies Point to a Breakthrough For millions of people living with Parkinson’s disease, recent developments in stem cell research have sparked a new wave of hope. In a pair of groundbreaking studies, scientists reported that stem cell transplants into the brains of Parkinson’s patients not only survived but also produced dopamine—the chemical most affected by the disease. Even more encouragingly, early results showed that some patients experienced measurable improvements in their symptoms.

Giveing Me Back to Me
Giving Me Back to Me I don’t know the exact moment I lost myself. There wasn’t some grand betrayal, no loud bang or crashing fall. It happened quietly. Softly. Like sand slipping through fingers—you don’t realize it’s gone until your hands are empty.

Sobriety Changed Me
Day I Chose Clarity: A Sobriety Story It was a rainy Thursday afternoon, the kind of gray, heavy day that seemed to mirror everything I was feeling inside. I remember standing at my bathroom sink, staring into the mirror like I was trying to recognize the person looking back at me. My face was puffy. My eyes—bloodshot and tired—held a kind of sadness that wasn’t just from lack of sleep or too many drinks. It was deeper. Hollow.

When the Cable Snaps. Runner-Up in The Metamorphosis of the Mind Challenge.
The elevator rises slowly, as it has been for almost a decade. It started at the bottom and has lifted upwards, stopping at several floors along the way. The elevator continues its journey to the top, only you’re not sure if you want to get there. You contemplate your ascent, weighing your options.

The Room With No Door
Elijah had always known there was something wrong with the room. No matter how many times he sat in its silence, the walls pressed in on him. There were no windows, no doors—nothing to suggest that it was part of anything at all. The air inside always felt thicker, as if it were made of something heavier than just dust. It wasn't a physical weight, but something intangible, something mental, like he was trapped in a space where nothing could change.

Not the Poster Boy of Sobriety
Let me be clear—I love my wife, deeply, and in all the ways I know how. That makes writing this all the more difficult. I’ve spoken before about my struggles with pornography and sex addiction—mostly online, never physical—but sharing it again still knots my stomach.

I Drowned in Fire and Rose in Smoke
I Drowned in Fire and Rose in Smoke It began in a silence so thunderous it felt like the world had been muted mid-scream. Not the kind of quiet that soothes—but the kind that suffocates. That drips down the walls and seeps into the bones. I was not standing at the edge of a cliff. I was standing at the edge of *myself*.

Unconditional Commitement
The Power of Unconditional Commitment: Choosing to Stay the Course In today’s fast-paced, convenience-driven world, commitment can feel like an outdated virtue. People are often encouraged to “follow their feelings,” “move on if it doesn’t serve you,” or “leave if it’s not easy.” And while there is truth in setting boundaries and prioritizing mental health, there is also something deeply transformative—and increasingly rare—about *unconditional commitment*.

Inked
I never used to like tattoos, neither did I care for those who so brazenly marked themselves with these "art" pieces. It was a crisp winter's morning in August of 2020 and I was busy cleaning the house, picking up little fragments left behind by the children before they went to school. A lost teddy bear, a lonely shoe, a hairbrush, and pyjamas that had the smell of tiny sleepy bodies still clinging to them. Autopilot, one after the other, so deep in thought that I hardly noticed what I was really doing.
