How to deal with people who can’t stand you? (I ignore them.) How to keep going on when you can’t keep going on? I hear about people ending their lives because I guess they are unhappy, scared, or depressed. It becomes dangerous and destructive. I mainly hear depression is the reason people commit suicide. They commit suicide because they cannot go another day of living on earth. Do they have friends or someone to talk to? We should be more open to friendships and relationships. Human touch, hugs, talking, and knowing you have someone there for you. Human touch builds up the immune system too. It makes people healthy too. I think that is wonderful that friends make us healthier. Friends help us smile and help us live longer.

They could be speaking to many people and still feel empty inside. There are different reasons someone could commit suicide. I know it is hard to open up sometimes. I think that’s why in a group of strangers it might be easier to talk to people. My point is to talk to someone when you start thinking of killing yourself.

People suffer from lots of things such as mental illness, loss of a friend, chronic pain, loneliness, fear, hurting inside, abuse which could be mental or physical, and substance abuse. How about if someone feels just different inside and they do not know how to talk about it. They could be changing inside and not know how to express it. They may look one way and feel another way. They may feel like a "he" inside but look like a "she" on the outside. In honesty, we could list many many reasons but really no one knows the reason why someone will commit suicide unless they were told. That's the hurt that is left behind.

When I was young, I had a friend die. They were very popular in my school. He was an athlete and had everything going for him. All the kids in our school loved him and wanted to be like him. Years before, he did have a bad car wreck with a head injury one day. I don’t recall exactly what happened but, years later, he committed suicide. Everyone was shocked and mourning in pain. No one understood why he did it. He had everything going for him. He had his whole life ahead of him. He didn’t show any signs of depression either. It shocked the whole school. I really was young, but this left a mark on my life.

I can list reasons why people commit suicide but in truth, unless it’s told, no one knows. The reason people commit suicide is emptiness, drugs, mental illness, fear, loss of a friend, depression, loss of all hope, chronic pain, loneliness, and not being able to handle the big ups and downs of life, abuse (mental & physical), traumatic experience, bullying, personality disorder, unemployment, social isolation, genetics, and more. Unfortunately, the list of reasons to commit suicide is unknown. We all need to communicate and be friendly to each other.

I lost my best friend to breast cancer. It was fast and a surprise to everyone. She was my best friend. It shocked me and it shocked everyone. If I could change time, if I change back time, I would hug her so tight and never let go. I would hug and never let go.

I know there are online chat groups but that is not personal like face to face. The online internet is good along with face-to-face. It would be nice to have someone to call or lean on to talk to about things that are going on in life. There is pain and struggle in everyday life. Everyone deals with pain and struggles differently. I know I have to find my way of dealing with my own personal struggles that I have every day.

As I have researched about suicide, I have found that it is more prevalent in this country. Suicide is more prevalent in doctors. This was a surprise for me. They suffer from depression according to WebMD. We all need to find our own support group or way to cope. We all need to find a way to talk to someone. It’s finding a way to cope with the day-to-day.

Many community resources offer stuff for their community, like classes or meetings. My library has classes available for kids and adults. I think is awesome and great! I love that adults can go and meet at different times at the library for just different classes for whatever class they have that day. I don’t know if all libraries have classes like that, but it’s nice to have this available.

I hope I have illustrated that we need to come together as a community to help each other. Silence and separation aren't the answer. Talk to each other and keep letting each other know we will help each other. We will always be there for each other.
