In the current era where Pakistan is facing economic stagnation and other problems. The same important problem is the growing drug addiction among the youth. The youth who will be the architects of Pakistan's future in the times to come. It is important to take steps to eliminate their addiction.

The youth of our country, regardless of their caste, are addicted to some or the other drug. It is generally believed that children are the ones who suffer from feelings of deprivation, inattention and abuse. This is partially true, but not entirely. You will find spoiled children in all sorts of people, from the middle class to the upper classes, from illiterate to hard-working families to soft-spoken families. Children also suffer from drug addiction due to parental inattention.

Parents are so busy that they are unable to keep an eye on their children's changing movements, so some parents, being too social, do not go out of their lives to see what their children are doing. Some parents are involved in the cycle of modernizing their children by using the drugs that they themselves use as modernism to encourage their children towards these drugs, mostly due to the lack of attention of parents in today's society. Young people become addicted to drugs.

Where educational institutions have become drug hubs, the best children, not wanting to be good friends, get involved in these addictive activities, whether they want to or not. The main reason for getting involved in drug related activities is mental stress, unbalanced personality and pressure from friends.

These drug activities have made the youth addicted to drugs and also involved the youth in criminal activities. They roar to the point of fulfilling their drug addiction to the extent that they easily take away someone's hard earned money. If they are not given money to meet their needs, they do not avoid killing their parents and siblings. Are affected by

The number of drug users in our country is in the millions, it is increasing rapidly, especially a large number of young people between the ages of 21 and 30. Marijuana is the most widely used drug. Marijuana is considered a harmless addiction on the basis of ignorance, while research shows that 90% of people start their addiction with hashish.

Loss of ability to solve problems. When young people between the ages of 21 and 30 become addicted to marijuana, their ability to learn and solve problems is not only impaired but also leads to other physical ailments. Importantly, this part of life is more important in the learning process

If we talk about a big city like Karachi, you will often see people blowing smoke under the flyovers, in the area of Tin Hatti, Saddar, on the banks of Lyari river and in the fields of some areas. Their clothes are dirty and their hair is covered with mud and dust.

Most of the people are aware of the whereabouts of these drug addicts but through glass cafes and high schools in the covered areas of the city, the youth are being made addicted to drugs. Even the rich class youth are addicted to drugs. Parents and the concerned department remain unaware of this.

One form of intoxication is marijuana and alcohol, which are addictive in large numbers on all four sides, while other forms of gutka mawa, and the number of people suffering from alcoholism is no less. Another horrible form of intoxication is gutka. In the last several years, the epidemic of Gutka has become common among every common and special person.

Even young children are being seen chewing Gutka. , Crystal, Wine etc. which are also being sold openly in the markets of Karachi. The district administration seems helpless in the face of all these mafias and closes its eyes like a dove to take any kind of action. The ability to write and work is also affected. Drug use has generally been shown to severely affect students' mental abilities, especially memory.

A new group of young addicts, called Crystal Meth, is being brought to the city's drug rehabilitation centers these days. Its victims are usually young people from private educational institutions and wealthy families.

In the instructive story of a friend of mine, with his permission, I would like to listen to all of you through pseudonyms. Waleed became addicted to crystal because of his friends

"When I entered university, there was a new atmosphere. My classmates used something. When I became friends with them, they slowly persuaded me to use it. As I used that thing, I found myself feeling much better mentally and physically and I got used to it and later I found out that it is a crystal. I didn't feel comfortable when I wasn't using it. "

The process of rehabilitating drug addicts is not easy

Waleed's family has been brought to the rehabilitation center, but it was not easy.

According to Waleed, when the family found out, they asked me for treatment but I refused because the use of crystals gave me relief. But the family persisted and one day with excuses they took me to the doctor where the doctor persuaded me for treatment.

Doctors say that the constant use of crystals creates feelings of happiness and joy and feels like an energy drink, but this condition lasts for a short time.

In order to stop this growing epidemic of drug use, it is necessary to start working with the youth of your home. Parents themselves should refrain from using drugs so that their children do not fall into this deadly habit. The second is to create awareness in educational institutions and offices about the negative aspects of drugs. A common strategy needs to be adopted to prevent drug addiction.

The plan should identify specific drugs that young people are using more. This plan should be based on available resources and research on counter-narcotics

Discussion Young My parents are requested to take their children seriously and keep an eye on them and at the same time I request my superiors to take the best possible steps to prevent drug abuse. To prevent this, advertisements should be aired on social media, TV and newspapers and seminars should be organized to get rid of this addiction of these youths and also a program should be made for the awareness of parents and the welfare of the society and the betterment of the country. Save this asset for the future.

Policy makers will have to make and enforce stricter laws to eradicate drugs. Remember our young generation is the asset of our future. We have to save valuable assets for our survival, that is the secret of our prosperity and development.
