Energetic draining is another sign,

The abuser can take charge of the room.

The victim's energy starts to decline,

Allowing the abuser to take control of the gloom.

Verbal abuse can be hard to detect,

But one should not ignore its effect.

It can slowly cause one to reflect,

And start to sense a growing neglect.

The signs of emotional abuse can be hard to perceive,

The subtle signs can feel deceiving.

But one should look for words that deceive,

And recognize emotional manipulation.

Watch for the signs of emotional abuse,

Be aware of the tactics used by the abuser.

Do not allow yourself to be confused,

And take action to protect yourself from the abuser.

Understand that you are not alone,

There are many who experience the pain.

Find the courage to rebuild your home,

And get help to break the chains.

Allow yourself to heal and grow,

Start to build a life of your own.

Reach out to friends and family you know,

To help you find your way back home.

Do not allow yourself to be abused,

Do not let the abuser take control.

Take your life back and be free and loose,

And make a plan that will make you whole.

Confusion and fear, have you felt them in your life?

Are you living in a chaotic strife?

Do you feel like you can never win,

as you struggle to cope with the emotional din?

Though it may not be obvious to see,

Emotional abuse is not an easy thing to flee.

It can be a subtle kind of torture,

leaving you feeling mentally unsure.

It can leave you feeling scared and small,

like you're walking against a wall.

It can take a toll on your soul,

and make your heart feel like a hole.

It's a form of manipulation,

that shows up in a subtle fashion.

It might be hard to recognize,

and leave you feeling paralyzed.

A lack of communication,

and silence that's filled with frustration.

Alienation and blame,

it's all part of the same game.

Jealousy and control,

they can take a toll.

Accusations and shame,

it's all the same.

Making you feel like you can't do right,

and making you think you have no might.

Criticism and belittling,

can make you feel like a piddling.

Creating an atmosphere of fear,

it can make your heart shed a tear.

The lack of trust and respect,

can leave you feeling quite inept.

It's hard to say when it begins,

emotional abuse can go undetected in the wind.

But take a deep breath and look around,

could this be a sign of emotional abuse abound?

Take a few moments to think,

is this relationship really worth a wink?

Evaluate your situation,

and try to restore your own liberation.

It can be difficult to leave,

and the pain of it may cause you to grieve.

But don't be afraid to take a stand,

for your well-being and mental health demand.

You don't deserve to be in a prison,

created by someone who's not even listening.

Take a deep breath and look around,

it's never too late to turn this thing around.

So if you're feeling scared and small,

and you feel like you have no control,

Take a moment to reflect,

and consider the effects.

It's time to take back your life,

and discover the power and joy of living right.

Break the chains of emotional abuse,

and find out what it's like to feel truly free.
