An Entry for the April Prompted #3 Challenge below:

--

Friend, look what I see in your eyes:

A soul much stronger than it deems,

with strength to blind a sunray’s gleams,

yet places faith in false demise.

.

Rise up tall and reach past the skies—

your dream is nearer than it seems.

Friend, look what I see in your eyes:

A soul much stronger than it deems.

.

Weaken the fear shaking your cries,

turn those words to defiant screams.

Break this old attire at the seams,

unearthing your truth is the prize.

Friend, look what I see in your eyes.
