You're Gone

I miss you every day

My Grandma Terrie and I (2004)

When I think about you, I'm filled with sorrow.

A year of suffering, missing, longing.

For one more day, one more moment. I wish for your face.

For a long time, there was a piece of me gone.

I wasn't who I was supposed to be.

After you left, a part of me died when you did.

Still there's not a day where you don't cross my mind.

Some moments, I wish that weren't true.

Forgetting would be the cure, but it's not the answer.

My best friend was ripped away from me.

And I can't breathe.

Yet time keeps moving.

And you aren't here.
