The lazy first resort

Of those who don’t understand

And don’t even seek to do so

People have more ways to connect

Than ever before

But it’s not real

It’s all surface

Where in messenger

Is there space for 70%

Of communication…?

It’s non verbal

And certainly not conveyed in

A punchy little text

Open to misinterpretation

Open to being fired in Anger

Without thought

Without reading the room

Communication

Face to face

Will always be

For me

The preferred way to communicate

We aren’t taught

To respond to things that hurt us

In a way

That won’t lead to more hurt

The nasty hamster wheel

Of name calling

Threat and rejection

Rolls on

I’m a lunatic?

That’s a bit strong don’t you think?

Like you

I have my truth…

It does not resonate with you

So I move away

And am attacked when I do

And do you know what?

We could have sat down with a cup of tea

In the same room

And talked about it

Which is what I asked for

That first step

For unhealed people

To become healed

Seems pretty sane to me
