You - An incomplete poem

You aren't how you talk.

You aren't how you walk.

You aren't how much you've earned.

You aren't what you've learned.

You are the books you read.

You are the people you need.

You are the opinions you make.

You are the decisions you take.

You are the songs you close your eyes to sing.

You are the songs that make you dance and swing.

You are the get-togethers you have.

You are the lonely meltdowns you have.

You are the smile you give when you cry.

You are the guilt you have when you lie.

You are the hope you have for tomorrow.

You are the laughs you have, even when sorrow.

You are the people you forgive,

You are the burnt bridges you've re-build.

You are the backspaces you use.

You are the fights you are willing to lose.

You are the places you dream of going.

You are the memories you keep holding.

You are what you give,

You are how you love.

So, I'm leaving my words here incomplete,

For, I can never define your beauty in complete.
