Poetry about love

When we met for the first time, we were only seventeen

Didn’t have a care in the world and we did whatever we wanted

I slowly became interested in you, and you had no clue

Until I confessed one day, and I have never felt so happy when you kissed me

We loved each other very much, but the world tore us apart

Forcing us to separate for years and I never heard from you for a long time

I tried to move on with my life, hoping I’d meet someone new and forget you

But my heart yearned for the day we meet again, and I desperately wanted you

The years went by without us knowing how long it was

But when I bumped into you on the streets, and you looked at me with those sweet eyes

I instantly teared up, because I missed you so much

Before I could say a word to you, I felt your lips touch mine

I had nearly forgotten what it was like to kiss you and to touch you

I hugged you tightly in my embrace, because I had waited for so long

Nothing in the world could ever drive us away again

When our love was so strong that the distance between us did nothing at all

This time, I’m never going to let you go.
