A Poem

I’m far more messed up

Than I thought

Forever bled

Of any “normal” thought

Against them all I have fought

I don’t know what you want

Anymore

Life feels like a chore

Holding it all inside

I’ve told the truth

I’ve lied

To spare others of what is felt

When I’ve knelt in silence

I’m just so tired

Of this false reality presented to me

All an illusion

A delusion

To keep me happy

But anything

To keep me from being free

Well said, & hitting so close to home.

Carrying truth that no one wants or is willing to hear is so exhausting. Try not to bring it into the new year.

    This protagonist feels very subjugated.
