Work, Work, Work
Doing what you love is still work.
They say that when you do what you love,
you’ll never work a day in your life.
I’ve learned that to be completely false.
It’s not that you’ll ”never” work a day in your life.
You’re actually working more.
The only difference is that you’re working on your own terms instead of someone else’s.
You’re a musician? You’re working on albums,
writing lyrics and melodies,
recording melodies and vocal tracks.
You’re booking summer tours,
fall tours,
CD signings.
You’re an author? You’re writing manuscripts
and collaborating with editing and publishing teams to get your next book on store shelves.
You’re scheduling book signings,
meet and greets,
marketing campaigns.
You’re an influencer? You’re working to create content.
You may not be working a trade job.
You may not be waiting tables.
You may not be dealing with Kevins and Karens in retail.
But you’re still working.
You’re just working on your own terms
and doing what you’re passionate about.
