Let them dislike you

They say that the more you are loved by people who matter,

The less you are liked by others who have gone

And those who choose to envy you while secretly thinking of no one but you.

So, I say, let them dislike you.

In fact, let them hate you.

Let them vilify you to anyone who will listen.

Let them curse your name and create you into a villain.

Let them gossip behind your back while smiling to your face.

Let them hold onto past versions of you that no longer align with who you are now.

And let them go.

Let their words flow into a chasm of nothingness.

Let them see themselves for who they are and recognize that they are not any different than you.

Let them see that they are not more deserving than you are of having everything that you desire.

Let them choke on their gossip.

Let them taint their own lives.

And let them go.

For they have no power over you or your thoughts and actions anymore.

Only you do.
