Words Hold Power
What Do You Choose
Words hold power
A power we give
And the power others
Take,
Words meant for
Love can be spoken
In hate
Breaking fragile
Spirits
Destorying shattered
Hearts.
An unkind word
To a young child
Learning to build
An ego
Becomes as destructive
As a brick to a window
More bricks
And more unkind
Words destroy
A child’s
Fragile ego.
Words hold power
Kind words spoken
In kindness
Build up
Help boost
A fragile spirit
Bring joy
To a hurting heart
But words spoke
In anger
Have a way of
Destroying
An already broken
Will.
Words have power
To build up or break
Down
With every word
We speak we have a
Choice
Words spoken in
Kindness
Or angry haste.
