I wonder what it’d be like in a few years
Me growing old with you
Our youth has faded with time
But that did not stop us
From making new memories together
Going on adventures
Eyes full of love
All of our strength has grown weary
We are gray and withering
As we sit on our rocking chairs
Outside on the porch
Gazing ever so intently beyond the garden
All of our time spent together
Has sadly come to an end
Our youthful days are done
But I can only look at you
And smile when I say,
“It was worth it.”
