why do all of my friends want to kiss me?
kitchen floor conversations
he rested his head on my shoulder as he spoke fondly of his mother
forehead kisses on the good days and the bad days
she brought me a cup of tea before bed
we talk about going to war and strategically set up our battle plans
you’re never alone because i am always here
i am never alone because you’re always near
i have a hand to hold and a place to call home
i love to look into her eyes
why do i want to kiss all of my friends?
walking into their house smells like sweet rain and i know i am safe
sitting with you is enough for me
laughing with you sets me free
what are you feeling?
awe and wonder
love is a person
and it is in every single one of you
