In the haunting echoes of shattered dreams,
memories lie scattered,
whispering of lost aspirations and unfulfilled desires.
Each shard, etched with longing and fear,
paints a mosaic of brokenness amidst the wreckage of once vibrant hopes.
Lost in the network of disillusionment, I search for solace amid the
rubble, weaving together fragments of my past in a decoration of sorrow.
Yet within the fractures of my souls, there lies a resilient beauty,
for it is through adversity that I find strength to face the unknown.
Despite the darkness, hope flickers, guiding us towards a dawn where
broken dreams may yet soar, reminding us that even in brokenness, there
is a chance for renewal and growth.

The Golden Valley
The difference between light and dark could be as quick and simple as a flip of a switch, the drawing of a curtain, the opening of one’s eyes. It could be more gradual like the slow adjustment of the diaphragm on a microscope, the turn of a planet on its axis, the growing light as you approach the end of a tunnel. A flicker in the dark, a steady glow in the distance, a flash in the night sky.
