Who are you

when you're alone

and free from judgement?

Do you still let yourself dance

to the beat of your heart?

Who were you

before they stopped you from spinning

and wishing on dandelions?

Did you sing to the music

made up in your soul?

Who will you be

when you wake up tomorrow

and don't let them break you down?

You'll find your warmth in the sun

and let them stumble in the shadows.

You'll shine in the spotlight of your reality,

drowned out by the applause of your foes.

You're a brighter star than their darkness

and your light will illuminate the good in them again.

Who you were is special,

who you are is healing,

and who you will be is three times as powerful.
