Who Are You in This Wild and Precious Life?
Have you identified who you are yourself?
Hi! This poem is for all of us. Its purpose is to encourage us to define ourselves. It also reinforces that giving love to who we choose - and receiving love (as we are) - is our birthright.
Maybe you read the words that follow in a different way though? Feel free to let me know what you gain from them below - if you’d like to :)

Were you also told, on the day of your birth, your gender and expected to love,
only one set of people (the ‘opposite sex’)
It’s okay to question this though
To be who you are
As a human
A person
(Some say that it’s not — well — mmm, NO)
We each get to be who we are in this lifetime — it’s precious (as Mary once said)
Be you fully
Claim it
Be wildly you
Own it
We all need to be who we are
The old ways are dying
Happy Pride month
Happy Pride life
From an Ally who’s no longer quiet
Be you please, yes you
Define who you are for yourself as you’re loved as you are

“Tell me, what is it you plan to do with your one wild and precious life?”
And with love and respect for all who identify as being part of the 2SLGBTQQIA+ community.
