When you arrive

All those there should strive to make you smile

And be ready to sacrifice their chair

In the hopes that you'll sit and stay a while

And see you happy every moment that you're there

While you're there

A drunk poet sits there unprepared

To express the beauty of a lady fair

But being the kind person that she is

She gives him ample time to declare

When you leave

All of those there who care about you know you're gone

And they pray your absence doesn't last too long

And they wonder at the moment you'll return

For your happiness and presence do they yearn

When you're gone

I think of you and build a fantasy

Of you sitting there next to me

And amidst the laughter, a moment when our eyes meet

And we lean in and share a kiss so sweet
