Did you know that the world is stained?
It is stained the most wonderful hue
Stained deeply and forever with the memory of you
Tell me if you’ve noticed my eyes wander
Returning constantly, near or far,
Again and again to where you are
Can you count for me the time
That ticks away between breaths in and out?
I know not what these moments are
Oh, but I know that they shout,
Never-ending and increasingly loud, your name
