When He Lost

For those Who Lose Their Father, Including Me

By Manpreet Singh BhinderPublished 2 years ago 1 min read

This poem is for those who have lost their father, including me. I lost my father two years ago. He died of a heart attack. I was broken and hopeless. I remember his talks every day. He was very kind and an inspiration for me.

____________________________________________________

A boy once lost his father,

Leaving a void that could never be filled.

His heart ached with grief so deep,

That it seemed to cut through his very soul and seep.

He missed his father's laughter and smile,

The warmth of his embrace, the love in his eyes.

He missed the way his father made everything right,

And the guidance he provided, day and night.

But as the days turned into years,

The boy learned to hold back his tears.

He drew strength from the memories of his father,

And found the courage to face each day, one after another.

He knew his father was always with him,

In the choices he made and the path he took.

And though he couldn't see or touch,

He felt his father's love so much.

The boy grew into a man,

But he never forgot where he began.

He carried his father's love with him,

And honor his memory, through thick and thin.

For in his heart, the boy knew,

That his father's love would always be true.

A love that would never fade,

But remain with him forever, unshaken, unafraid.
