We’re never going to Mars,

So get your head out of the stars.

Get the stars out of your eyes.

Hear the cries,

Radiation, everyone dies.

Trying to leave problems behind,

And create new ones for a new kind.

Who's going to start mars’ first dietary fad?

No vegans, toxic soil, bad.

As Impossible as a GMO burger!

That's one dream you'll have to defer.

Oh, humans and their need to colonize!

We’d learn from the past if we were wise,

But we’re not, so we proceed.

Pumping trillions into an unattainable deed.

On Mars, the pressure of the atmosphere is less than one percent of the pressure of Earth’s atmosphere.

So what exactly is the one percent’s plan here?

The same people who complain of climate change,

They support an impossible dream that contributes to ozone depletion?

Strange.

I must admit The Red Planet is a beauty to behold,

But she's becoming just another thing to be sold.

If conditions hold,

Look at the night sky,

behold

Mars, The Red Planet,

We shall never inhabit.
