To write or not to write, the tough decision of the day.

A poem, a rhyme, a story true or allegory made.

We crave the reads and comments pure to hear what people say.

Thous’t penned for love of words and praise but mindful that we’re paid.

The challenge prompts from Vocal Plus dost drive us all insane.

Perfected tales, when they are born, all seek the golden crown.

Some good , some bad, some polished strong, while others are inane.

For tips or bones we trade our reads and even heart our own.

We scratch our plots on post-it notes and hide it from the boss.

Our wallet count and stats we check four times and thrice a day.

For word or thought and phrase divine that evermore seems lost.

The kids must wait for suppertime and love that P.B.J.

To Write is right, every day, and manage our strange moods.

We cry until we see the words “Your story’s been approved.”
