Two Sides to Every Story

On reflection

Two sides to every Story

He said

She said

He told his friends one thing

What he believed

The role he cast her in

She tried to say ……

No matter

She couldn’t make sense of it herself

Couldn’t expect him to follow the nuances

It was about the passage of time, maybe never again having a feeling ….

Not base as he assumed

He didn’t need to stomp on her heart

It was a friends heart nothing more but nothing less either

Now she’s blown up the whole thing

Overdramatic maybe

But how many friends actually stick around?

She’d expected to get an invite to his wedding

Whenever that was

They had been that sort of friend once

Two sides to every story

Always

By the time that’s seen and understood

Nobody cares anymore

It’s way too late.
