Two Me’s

inside my head

There are two me's inside my head,

One that's strong, the other one's dead.

The first one's deficit leaves a mess,

The other one follows to clean in his stead.

After medicine has cast its web,

Oh my, my pants are down again;

It feels like I'm drowning when

Isolation is crowned to friends.

++

I pretend that I'm around in stints,

Go out in crowds now and then,

And I can predict the end.

As there are two me's, but only one can win.
