"Distraction's the foe of concentration," dad said giving his tool a spin,

I don’t know what school is teaching these days, but it sure ain’t like back when."

Stewart tried to listen, but thoughts of Diablo IV crept in,

"Thirteen miles, son, that's how far we walked, he said with a grin."

Really, that far?” said Stewart, his resolve began to falter, as his mind wandered away,

Actually, it was 26 if you count both ways, before his dad went on to say,

Can you hold it steady, it's not a disco ball.” His son’s gripped tightened, determined to obey.

Teenagers don’t realize how good they have it son, no Tok Tik’s back in the day.”

"It's Tik Tok, dad," Stewart corrected, feeling a bit smug,

Ouch!” alas, the flashlight had slipped, hitting his dad with a thud,

"Never mind, just go play your Devil game,” and with that, helping dad was done.

What a great entry! I love poems that rhyme! I wrote one from the parents perspective 😂 I guess we all distract each other
