Freckled nose and auburn curls

Gee, Cherry sure rocked his world

She wasn't the type of girl to wear ribbons and pearls

No high heeled shoes

She looked like she was always on the run and packed a loaded gun

Aura of a tough girl through and through

But to get to her heart, Beau knew exactly what he had to do

So he strapped up his boots and donned his leather jacket

Spritzed it with his best cologne

Indeed after that she would have to have it

Then waltzed outside where waiting in the stable was his ride

Beau was a rebel of a different kind

He liked leather and boots but held onto his roots

Still a country boy true

And everyone in town knew so it wasn't much of a surprise

Whenever he came riding through

Although he did get a couple funny looks in front of the flower shop

When he used a parking meter as a hitch so his horse wouldn't ditch

Inside the store the florist recommended twenty four

But Beau shook his head and asked for a few more before paying and stepping back out the door

Again sitting high in the saddle

After unhitching his horse

To Cherry's apartment he was ready to skedaddle

He stopped in front of the building where he always heard rock music being played

And wondered if it would be more romantic to try a serenade

That moment seemingly his horse thought so too because then she let out a loud winnie and something that sounded like "Ah Choo!"

Suddenly before Beau knew what to do

The second story window flew open and someone yelled "Bless You!"

Just as soon, who it was, Beau already knew

So politely he looked up and stammered back a "Thank you."

Staring back at him was his red headed girl of sin

And by the surprised look on her face

He wasn't too sure if he's won what he'd come here to win

Fortunately after a little while her face broke into a smile

"Are those for me?!" She shouted out with glee

For a moment he'd forgotten what he had in his hand before nodding his head and hollering "Yes, Ma' am!"

"I'll be right down!" She replied and disappeared from the window up high

And before he knew it she was on the back of his ride hugging him tight

"Let's wave this city goodbye!" She exclaimed in his ear

"Yes! Ma' am!" Beau shouted and spurred his horse in gear

Both joyfully riding off into the sunset as townsfolk on the sidewalk waved and cheered

I really appreciated the imagery of him tying the horse to the parking meter. Made me smile.
