Trust with Faith
All is as it should be
As the leaves turn to umber towards the end of summer,
The wind picks up speed to blow the cobwebs away,
Rain teems over waterfalls of heated sorrows,
Chasing rainbows into old yesterday.
π
The pot of gold that is rumoured to exist,
Is found within the precious memories held dear,
Of a life well lived, a heart well loved,
And a lung full of laughter that overrode the fear.
π
The ending is growing nearer on a daily basis,
Our time existentially borrowed time,
Living one day apiece, leaving yesterday
And tomorrow far behind.
π
The birds chorus to our tune of ecstasy
Of living well from the minute to absolute minute,
Encapsulated in a world of love and friendship,
Throwing caution to the wind to end any dispute.
π
The purr of an adored pet heightens wellness,
Gifting one of comfort, companionship and hope,
Worming a hole into the hardest of hearts,
Gaining the ability to metamorphosis pain to cope.
π
The coolness that creeps down oneβs spine,
In an endeavour to push the boundaries of terror,
Need to be roped in early as the only solution,
Stipulating whose boss and turning terror to error.
π
The whispers from above that only we can fathom,
Depart valuable lessons borne within our own cells,
Ancestry wisdom a myth of folklore,
Paralysing the fearful with modern day spells.
π
Live long and love hard as only you are designed,
Spill over each day as a rightful blessing,
Wonder no more of the rights to be happy,
Trusting with faith all is well in how your lifeβs progressing.

My first love is poetry β itβs like a desperate need to write, to free up space in my mind, to escape the constant noise in my head. Most of the time the poems write themselves β Iβm just the conduit holding the metaphorical pen.

Ancestry wisdom a myth of folklore. Wow, that line seemed so mystical to me! Loved your poem my friend!

What is is as it should be, but not necessarily what it will be or ought to become. But strive for the greater things & then allow the Apostle Paul to guide us into an even more excellent way (as preface to 1 Corinthians 13).
