he looked at her and told her she looked pretty every morning. she gave him strength to chase his dreams. he called her up four times after they hung up because he forgot to say he missed her. he forced her to see the beauty inside.
she carried him on her back when he couldn't carry himself. she told him why life was hard. he showed her his fears and she showed him hers. he told her he loved her in the same breath he insulted her.
he surprised her with her favourite plant. she showered him with hope. he didn't accept her shrug when she said everything was fine. she let him cry until he could cry no more. he told her what was wrong with people in the world, and she listened.
she brought his stars closer to earth. he illuminated her nights.
the two of them were stronger together.
