Today's World is Sad

...

It’s sad

Today’s world is sad

Our higher ups fell to the levels of the shallow

Fame is idolized instead of the moral fellow

Bitterness is buried in the brightness of lemon yellow

Manners and etiquette are confined to saying hello

Butterflies' wingtips are afraid to spread and fly

The handsomeness in man is we glorify

Fine character traits aren’t the foremost only a sub

We don’t look for satisfaction only love

The insides lie forgotten as if we’d become blind

We look only here, right now never forward or behind

the old and wise is a hindrance not a source of advice

thinking and thanking isn’t a must, only nice

fat isn't an adjective rather a life sentence

asking for help violates any claim of independence

it's like up became down and night became day

and everything that shouldn't be is now okay

This is literally my view of the world! You put it down so clearly and in a sense of satire so well written! Coincidental how we have similar views?😉

"and everything that shouldn't be is now okay" - this really hits home, it unfortunately feels so true.
