today I was just a mom,
i wore the same clothes I slept in,
the ones i wore yesterday.
we all woke up three times during the night.
i was tired today.
i made a breakfast that went unfinished,
we bought groceries today.
we built legos,
made homemade play dough,
had lunch at 10:30.
we celebrated summer with ice cream treats.
the older kids played outside while I tended to the baby,
i swept the floor three times.
i feel like I didn’t do enough today,
but to them it was everything.
i feel like a superhero today.
