Time With You
If Only
Two weeks is all we had
And even those were stolen,
But there was a lot of love given
And for this I am beholden.
I know that we are not together
But in my heart I belong to you,
I'll never forget those days we had
Even though they were but few.
We dated, we danced
We talked, we made love,
We cuddled, we kissed
And I enjoyed all of the above.
We spent enough time together
To make an impact on my life,
I'd come back to spend some more
If only I wasn't someone else's wife!

About the Creator
Colleen Millsteed
My first love is poetry — it’s like a desperate need to write, to free up space in my mind, to escape the constant noise in my head. Most of the time the poems write themselves — I’m just the conduit holding the metaphorical pen.
