Time To Go

Is it time?

that light is so bright

been here so long

but not long enough to go

long road to travel

and yet more roads to go.

Is it that time?

I think back

wonder did I do enough

should I do more

did they hear me say

love is love and nothing more.

Clock ticks time

But is it for me?

See and hear the children play

In the new day

And wish they would know

That time is all there is.

Hands pass over the clock

yet I feel I stand still

were they for me

or I for them

which one, I surely don’t know

Tell me or should it just be?

The light is brighter

I guess it time to go

Don’t let feel hurt within

Let them sing and shout

Their life - not mine.
