Nine months

Felt like a lifetime

wanteing to hold you

see your beautiful face

nine bullets

took you away.

Now holding your body

riddled with bullets

Why you

over and over again

I ask.

Didnt want this for you

didnt see it coming

they'll say your name

for justice for you.

Mommas will cry in the streets

and weep and weep and weep

like I did you.

Blood spilled for... what

my blood of your blood

painting the streets.

Wasn't slavery enough

blood shed their too

can't go back

won't go back

got to go forward

to show them we will live.

Not die by their hands

Not no more

for I waited nine months

to see you

and they used nine bullets

to take you.

About the Creator

G.A. Moore

Write, and write, and write again, 'til the words become images in the mind and feel the heart with joy, heartache, or even pain. I like to think that my writing will transcend you away to a place or identify with a character. Enjoy!
