Tick tock, the clock

Here comes the knock

Knock knock, wake up

You’re running late

//

Come on boy, get moving

No time for grooving

You better be ready

Life will never be steady

//

Found a goal yet

Know where you want to be?

You won’t make it I bet

There’s no time, you see?

//

Tick tock, the clock

Here comes the knock

Knock knock, wake up

You’re running late

//

Let me teach you, it’s simple

Sit back and relax

Why don’t you ever just sit still?

Life never comes fast.

//

Lay down enjoy

Not too long though boy,

Work to be done

You know there’s no time for fun

//

Tick tock, the clock

Here comes the knock

Knock knock, wake up

You’re running late

//

This’ll never make sense.

A basic flawed pretense,

We are expected to work

Never to shirk

Expected to relax

Never push it to the max.

//

But in the meantime, time keeps ticking

But in the meantime, the ship keeps sinking

Because you know every time you start the day

That clock will never hesitate to say

//

Tick tock, the clock

Here comes the knock

Knock knock, wake up

You're running late
