Thin Ice

I know it

I limp myself home

Plug my keys in by the door

Sudden feeling

I'm alone

Since I gave you back the contents of your drawer

You were soft to the touch,

but I can't feel you anymore,

and maybe my thoughts come out of my mouth

Much quicker than some of yours,

but that doesn't mean you should cast me out,

and leave me heartbroken on the floor

Now your pillow is on the cold side

Is this what I get when I speak my mind?

I know you look at me with love's eyes,

but I know it

I know it

I know it

I'm skating on thin ice

I limp myself home

Plug my keys in by the door

Sudden feeling

I'm alone

Since I gave you back the contents of your drawer

You were soft to the touch,

but I can't feel you anymore,

and maybe my thoughts come out of my mouth

Much quicker than some of yours.

but that doesn't mean you should cast me out

When all I wanted was to be your cure

Now your pillow is on the cold side

Is this what I get when I speak my mind?

I know you look at me with love's eyes,

but I know it

I know it

I know it

I'm skating on thin ice
