There was a fire
That lit up within
Me, without me
Even trying
A fire that
So desperately
Just needed a
Match to set it
Aflame
I don’t know
How the match
Met the wick
Of the candle
Residing within
Me,
Yet somehow
Like magic
The candle lit
Up
Maybe it was
Through prayer
Or through making
So many mistakes
Maybe it was
Through so much
Suffering
That somehow the
Candle lit itself up
Maybe it was through
So much time spent
Wasted that the
Fire naturally
Started
Or maybe it
Was through the
Goddess within her
That was serving her
Without her even
Asking
Maybe it was Her,
Maybe it was Her soul
That knew what to Do
Without any instructions
Maybe she just
Lit up like a
Blazing fire because
She had enough of
Her old self
Maybe,
Just maybe,
This one flame will be
Enough to burn
Her old self into
Ashes and allow
Who she is becoming
To rise out of the darkness

Truthfully, it is writing that comes from within the heart that matters most. Your emotional connection to your writing will both inspire and motivate readers to learn, to listen, to keep reading. Allow your emotions to entangle your words.
