Thees & Thous

… a glossary of terms, riddled with worms

Assertively, he speaks in thees and thous,

inflecting the impression of anger's rage.

For sake of argument, he thus allows

himself some caustic scope to so engage.

Out bursts, a tirade of words contorted,

carried, nay harried, in verbal combat.

Thus he lobs a bolt of words assorted,

on target; laying claim to this and that!

Thee, at this point's pivot, mayst be confused

as regards the meaning of such prattle.

Simply stated, this mouth of mouths refused

to swing unhardened steel in heat of battle.

. Buried deep in a glossary of terms,

. might this be his end - all riddled with worms!

Tim Grace

A first impression has a lasting effect - it makes a notable difference. In a subtle way that’s who I am as a poet. A ‘first impression’ looking for the gentle ‘twist’ that draws attention to a novel observation.
