Conversation Doesn't Always Need Words

The feeling of loneliness

seems difficult to recall

until you leave long enough

for me to remember

what it was like

before we were together

the spot in my heart

that you fill

isn’t something that anyone can appeal to

the fullness and emotion

that you bring with your presence

is more than just an essence

or exaggeration of hormones

the connectivity of your eyes

your laughter

your conversation

your touch

just seems like too much

to replace with fake sentiment

and fill-ins

the warmth of your arms

and the graze of your fingertips

as they dip

into the crevices of my back

lulling me to sleep

is a talent that you keep hidden

from the world

and no matter how we appear

to strangers unaware

of our romantic entangles

you are perfect

for me
